Training #5 - 5.5.09

it's kind of hard to write these things after each one. especially when it's busy. it is really busy at work right now.

the activity was a lot of fun, but i felt like i was missing something int he processing of it. i felt like i wanted to hear everyone talk more at length about what they did. although i'm not sure i wanted to talk at very much length about mine. i would have shared some thoughts, but maybe i wouldn't have had that much to say afterall.

what do you all think?

  1. I enjoyed theresa's training because it was interesting to see how people visually depicted the story when given a certain amount of items. I liked the idea that everyone comments on what they perceive the the scene to be before the artist reveals it. I agree with Giles that it helps to hear why people chose their original object and how they came about creating their piece. I think it allows youth to really think about what they are doing.

I like the "off the tangent" activity also. I liked listening to what people chose and how they thought it relates to the story. I did feel this part to be a but rushed and kind of wished we have more time. Also, to learn some of those words that i didn't know
